This isn’t a bus tour. It’s a curated expedition designed for those who refuse to rush. From the Atlas Mountains to the deep Sahara, every mile is planned for luxury.
We depart Marrakech at 8:00 AM, crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Instead of following the tourist buses, we veer west towards Taznakht, the capital of Berber saffron and carpets. We arrive in the quiet desert outpost of Foum Zguid by evening. Dinner and overnight in a luxury lodge at the edge of the Sahara.
Today, the pavement disappears. We engage 4WD and enter the legendary ‘Paris-Dakar’ rally track. We cross the massive dry salt flats of Lake Iriqui, hunting for fossils and chasing mirages. By afternoon, we reach the massive dunes of Echguigat (Erg Chigaga)—the wildest dunes in Morocco. Sunset camel trek and a VIP night under the stars.
Wake up to sunrise over the dunes. We exit the desert via M’hamid, the ‘Door of the Desert,’ and follow the ancient caravan route through the Draa Valley. You will see millions of palm trees and ancient Kasbahs as we wind our way through Zagora and Ouarzazate, returning to Marrakech by early evening.
We limit expeditions to ensure maximum quality. Check availability now.
